Starting to feel more like winter...

The week after our Thanksgiving break students will start writing poetry.  I created a circle map and final draft sheet for their Winter acrostic poem. Not only is it in Spanish and English but it's also FREE! I would appreciate some loving(following) on my newly started TpT store!!

Thanksgiving fun

Hello...after starting school and recently having a baby I have not posted a thing!
This was my first week back from maternity leave...being the week before our thanksgiving break I did as many activities related to it as possible.

Here is what we did..
I started off by writing Dia de Accion de Gracias on chart paper. Students were asked to tag the sheet with what they knew about Thanksgiving and each day before starting the lesson they had to write something new they learned. They loved it!
We started by learning about the pilgrims voyage on the Mayflower. We made cute hand Mayflowers. **pinteret inspired**

We continued by watching Scholastic's tour/ video of the pilgrims life in America. Real cool!
Students wrote postcards about their life as a pilgrim child.** sorry no pics**

Then we learned about the first feast and compare our feast to theirs.

All summer I have been relaxing and have not done much school thinking... All because I have been thinking and preparing for my baby that will be arriving soon.
But since August got here I had to change gears and start teacher mode I went school shopping!
Here are some of the things I have bought.....

Pinterest Inspired dresser :)

So who does not love pinterest???!!!! I can search for hours and find the coolest ideas. Looking at home decor ideas I came across an old dresser and how it was repurposed/"beautified" ;)...And well with a baby on the way.. I thought to myself what a great way to try it out. 

So I showed my dad the pinterest image.................


Found this poor, ugly unwanted dresser...

And it was transformed into this....

 

Plus I added some beatiful baskets that fit just Perfect!!!

 

I fell in love with it and this dresser makes my baby girls room look amazing!!! 
                                                                          All thanks to my daddy!
